The 3 Best Podcasts For Female Entrepreneurs

WORK

February 9, 2020

I love podcasts. I love motivational stories. And I love supporting female superstars and beginners alike.

I became a regular podcast and audiobook listener when I was commuting two+ hours every workday. I loved them so much that I swapped music for podcasts during my workouts and while cleaning.

Today, I’m going to share my three favorite podcasts for female entrepreneurs. Not that anyone wouldn’t enjoy these, but whether you’re thinking of starting a business, you’re in the midst of launching your company or you’re several years in, I guarantee you’ll find incredible nuggets of wisdom in these rockstar ladies’ podcasts.

The best part? They’re all FREE to listen to!

#1: The Goal Digger Podcast With Jenna Kutcher

335 episodes in at the time of this writing, The Goal Digger Podcast is an insane repository of useful and easy-to-implement information. Jenna covers everything from preparing to leave your 9-to-5 job to start a business to how to start an email list to how to optimize a Facebook group strategy.

Not only does Jenna give away her best tips and advice, she often has incredible guests such as Barbara Corcoran from “The Shark Tank” and Katrina Scott, co-founder of Tone It Up.

Plus, I find her voice pleasant, which is obviously important when you’re listening to podcasts!

#2: Online Marketing Made Easy With Amy Porterfield

All I can say about the Online Marketing Made Easy podcast is that it’s a game-changer. I started listening to Amy in early 2018 during my one-hour-each-way commutes, and she completely changed the trajectory of my career.

Why?

Passive income.

Amy is the master in online course development and community-building and having been an online adjunct instructor since 2003 and even a full-time assistant professor, I had NO idea I could create courses that I actually WANTED to teach AND make money off of them outside of traditional academia!

But even if you’re not into building online courses, Amy’s podcasts are filled with excellent resources for your business such as creating a morning routine for entrepreneurs, developing “atomic” habits and 10 ways to repurpose one piece of content.

Amy is also the queen of freebies (a.k.a. lead magnets) and I find them so valuable that I’ve assigned them to my college students to review. When you scroll through her site, they are likely to pop up, so be sure to read the titles, as I’ve heard she has something crazy like 40+ different freebies available!

One last tidbit: if you go to the Online Marketing Made Easy landing page, scroll down and you can search her podcast episodes by your goals (see pic below).

And just like Jenna, Amy has a great voice, so it’s really easy to get lost in her podcasts for hours at a time.

#3: The Marie Forelo Podcast With Marie Forleo

If you’ve ever heard of B-School, you’ll know who Marie Forleo is. This woman is a DYNAMITE entrepreneur and once you start listening to her podcast, you’ll realize that having switched jobs or careers four different times is not a bad thing (phew). Her story is incredible, and so is she.

I’ll be honest: at first, I wasn’t a fan of The Marie Forleo Podcast because I only listened to a couple of episodes, all of which were just the audio recordings from her MarieTV shows. But, as I started exploring her site and watching some of her free training videos, I fell in love with her passion, enthusiasm and intelligence.

I’m now a regular and I even listen to the episodes that are audio recordings from the TV show because there are always great nuggets of wisdom. If you’re selling something online, you can learn about increasing your traffic and sales. Also learn how to build your brand, how to grow your business without working more and even, how to find time to work out.

Most of Marie’s podcasts are short in length, so you can plow right through them. She is upbeat and personable, but she does use some adult language sometimes, so be sure to listen for a disclaimer at the beginning of an episode before you turn it on with the kiddos in the car.

Well, there’s my list. I’d love to know what your favorite podcasts for female entrepreneurs are, so please leave a comment and link below!
